About Le Cirque
I started this blog back in April 2009, with the intent of writing about two main things:
1. Marketing. I've been in marketing for more than 20 years, and I love how quickly everything is changing. Case in point: I earned my master's in integrated marketing communication in 2007, and social media was barely addressed in that curriculum. Amazing how much has changed since! As I learn more about the ever-evolving world of marketing, I'll attempt to discuss it here.
2. Motherhood. When I started this blog, my daughter was just four months old, and I had recently returned to work from an 11-week maternity leave. Juggling motherhood and a career is proving to be the adventure of a lifetime. Though I know I'm by no means unique in that respect, I think a lot of people can likely relate to the balancing act that is my new reality. Like many working parents, I do my best at being a "ringmaster," coordinating multiple schedules, smoothing ruffled feathers, and trying to remain cool under pressure...and while part of me wouldn't have it any other way, I'll confess that there are days when I wish I could sit back, let someone else do the heavy lifting, and just enjoy the show.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you like what you read.
